AuDHD is commonly used to describe the co-occurrence of autism and ADHD. Although both conditions have been studied extensively, research on their overlap is still developing.
This course explores what science currently tells us about AuDHD, including genetics, brain differences, executive function, sensory processing, emotional regulation, masking, mental health, treatment, and adult outcomes.
A central theme throughout the course is evidence strength. We will distinguish between:
🟢 findings that are relatively well supported
🟡 findings that are promising but still developing
🟠 plausible interpretations that need more research
🔴 claims that go beyond what current evidence can show
You will also learn how to read AuDHD research more critically: who was studied, what was measured, how strong the design was, and whether the conclusions match the evidence.
By the end of the course, you should have a clearer picture of both what science knows about AuDHD and what it still cannot answer.
